Flatirons Habitat Returning to Broomfield
Earlier this year, the Broomfield City Council voted to provide Flatirons Habitat funding through the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). These funds will be used to buy and renovate two or three foreclosed or abandoned homes in Broomfield. This will be the first time in Flatiron Habitat’s history that we will be undertaking a full-scale rehab project. We are currently looking for suitable homes to purchase and hope to be building by summer 2010. The Flatirons affiliate has not built in Broomfield since the 14-unit Emerald Hill neighborhood was completed in 2006.

Flatirons Habitat works with volunteers and future homeowners to build houses for our deserving families. We always have a need for volunteers with construction experience to join our crew leader program, as well as volunteers without construction experience who are willing to put in a hard days work.
