Clive Rainey, Habitat's first volunteer, visits our Wonderland Creek build site
We had the honor of hosting Clive Rainey on our Wonderland Creek build site in Boulder June 10 as we wrapped up AmeriCorps Habitat for Humanity Buildathon week.
He was Habitat's first volunteer and remains one today. He is an inspiration. After the camera was off, he said the honor doesn't lie in being the first volunteer, but in being the last because everyone worldwide has a decent place to live. Well said Clive!
He also said AmeriCorps volunteers such as those that have been working statewide this week are the "hope for the world." Again, well said sir!
